Thermal Treatments FAQ

Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the treatments at Terme di Torre Canne.

What treatments are available at Terme di Torre Canne? Which conditions do they address?

At Terme di Torre Canne, we offer a wide range of thermal treatments for various health conditions. You can receive therapies for rheumatic and orthopedic diseases through mud applications and thermal baths, ideal for relieving joint pain and stiffness. For respiratory and ear conditions, we provide inhalation therapies, aerosol treatments, nasal irrigations, micronized showers, and techniques such as tympanic insufflations and Politzer crenotherapy. Those suffering from vascular issues can benefit from treatments like the thermal vascular walkway, designed to stimulate circulation and relieve symptoms related to venous insufficiency.

How often should thermal treatments be done?

The benefits of thermal treatments are most effective when repeated at least twice a year.

What should I wear for thermal treatments?

Access to treatment areas (except for inhalation therapies) is allowed only if you wear a bathrobe, swimsuit, and non-slip sandals. If needed, bathrobes are available for rent at the spa. If your treatment includes the Thermal Pool or Vascular Walkway, a swimming cap is mandatory. For treatments in the gym, you will need a tracksuit and athletic shoes.

Are Treatments Available Beyond Thermal Therapies?

Yes, at Terme di Torre Canne you can enjoy a wide range of additional treatments.
We offer a fully equipped Physiotherapy Center, where you can undergo:
Manual treatments (such as massages), Instrumental therapies including Ultrasound Therapy, Laser Therapy, HILT Laser Therapy, TENS, Tecar Therapy, Electrostimulation, Magnetotherapy and Hydrokinesiotherapy (rehabilitation in thermal water)
You can also access a variety of aesthetic face and body treatments, including both classic and advanced options:
Relaxing, purifying, anti-aging, toning, and regenerating treatments, Facial cleansing, Body and facial massages, Waxing, Manicures and pedicures

Do I need specific documents to begin treatment?

Yes. In addition to your medical prescription (written on the standard SSN prescription form), you must bring your health insurance card (Tessera Sanitaria) and a valid ID document. If available, it's also helpful to bring your thermal treatment record from the previous year.

Is it necessary to book treatments in advance?

We strongly recommend booking all treatments ahead of time. For certain therapies — specifically Angiology treatments (Vascular Walkway) and Rhinogenic Hearing Loss therapies (Tympanic Insufflations and Politzer Crenotherapy) — advance booking is essential, as they require specialist consultations and additional diagnostic tests.
Making a reservation also allows you to express preferences for dates and times, both for your treatments and your initial medical admission visit.
